Worked evidence example

One number. Every reason behind it.

A transparent illustrative example of how CivilQuant keeps source, geometry, formula, rate provenance and reviewer state connected.

The result

9.00 m³ of in-situ concrete from Wall W04.

In this illustrative example, the measured entity is 12.00 m long, 3.00 m high and 0.25 m thick. The authoritative volume is calculated deterministically: 12.00 × 3.00 × 0.25 = 9.00 m³.

01

Source

Drawing A-201, revision C, entity W04. The revision identifier stays attached to the measurement record.

02

Geometry

Length 12.00 m · height 3.00 m · thickness 0.25 m. A reviewer can inspect the captured dimensions.

03

Formula

12.00 × 3.00 × 0.25 = 9.00 m³. Arithmetic is deterministic rather than generated by a language model.

04

Commercial record

The quantity can feed a BOQ item with a separately governed rate, provenance and issue state.

05

Review

The record remains draft until the required professional or commercial reviewer authorises it.

Why this matters

Many systems can produce a number. CivilQuant is designed around the harder question: can another person reproduce the number and identify the document, revision, assumption, formula and approval that created it?

What this example does not prove

It does not prove that a specific drawing can always be interpreted automatically, that the demonstration rate is current, or that the output is a formal professional opinion. Those are separate evidence and review questions. The point of the example is the chain of custody around the quantitative result.
