Use this practical readiness checklist to identify evidence gaps. It is not an accounting opinion and does not replace the applicable Standards of GRAP or professional advice.

Each asset has a unique identifier. Asset class / component structure is consistently defined. Acquisition / recognition information can be traced to evidence. Location and custodian information is current enough for verification. Useful life / depreciation inputs are governed and reviewable. Condition and impairment indicators can be linked to evidence where relevant. Disposals, transfers and changes have controlled workflow records. Physical verification results reconcile back to the register. Material discrepancies have owners, status and resolution evidence. Supporting documents and approvals can be retrieved for review.

A high checklist score is not proof of GRAP compliance. It simply indicates that the register contains stronger control and evidence characteristics for further professional/accounting assessment.
